This Exhibit focuses on the wonderful world of TWA. Trans World Airlines was, for many years, the industry leader for luxury, innovation and a leader in transatlantic air travel, flying to over 150 destinations in over 20 countries at its peak. More than just a carrier, TWA was a global pioneer and made international travel more accessible, convenient and speedy, and was favoured amongst the greats of its time, Michael Jackson, Jimmy Carter, Buzz Aldrin and many others, becoming known as the Airline of the Stars. With uniforms designed by the likes of Howard Greer, Oleg Cassini and Ralph Lauren, they were truly the pinnacle of air travel, in luxury and innovation.
Click on the image to the left to access The TWA Collection, a carefully curated collection of historical artifacts and items related to Trans World Airlines, spanning the 1950s up until the late years and their eventual acquisition by American Airlines in 2001.
The archive is lucky to also have some named items owned by, or related to important figures from Trans World Airlines' history.
